Singlish is just a part of Singapore culture. What so wrong about that??? Whether English or Singlish is just a way of we expressing ourselves. As long as our audience understands, who cares what kind of language we use. Even the English language is also Rojak language. Some of the words in the English language are totally originated from French, Irish etc. So is there anything wrong with singlish which is originated from Singapore. This is our culture. It totally belong to us - Singaporeans.
Well, then are you suggesting that you shd only be speakin to singaporeans since they are the only ones who understand you? Or are you saying there is no need for proper English? It is important that when we communicate, we communicate clearly, pronounce correctly etc so that the general public understands us, and that there is conformity to a certain standard. The English language is a precious jewel and spoke properly is music to one's ears...let's appreciate it!
